  • In a sense they have the right. The state never prosecutes the victims that succeed.
  • well, first of all ..if youre considering this for yourself... then please...see a doctor or seek professional help....immediately. secondly, most cultures believe it is wrong to kill oneself. third, most religious folks, which comprise about 6 billion of the 6.5 billion in the world believe it is some sort of mortal sin, that will effect you in the next life. third, for more practical reasons... its very time consuming and costly to society, families and friends to have to deal with the effects of these actions. police have to decide if its murder or not. emts have to come try to revive you. 90% of suicides fail. medical personel have to do autopsies. or doctors have to spend time and resources getting you well. needlessly. wasting hospital beds, medicines and thousands of dollars of taxpayers moneys etc. judges have to rule on the death and will etc... or if you survive, if you have to be committed to an institution. for how long, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, doctors, emergency room personnel, interns, medics, orderlies, cooks, security personnel. etc etc etc. then you have to be evaluated, returned to court..judges, clerks, deputies, bailiffs, attorneys, etc etc etc. then theres the family and friends that have to pay for these things, with tears, time, efforts, prayers, finding help, or funerals. its just a lot easier to make it illegal.
  • they can kill themselves they just arent allowed to try and not succeed at it
