Oh Gosh yes especially when you are in a Big comment thread
-
Ues, when it becomes just idle chit chat instead of discussion, when you get tired of the topic, or when everybody is trolling.
-
Yes! Sometimes people just talk forever about something that you only commented once on! You really don't want to keep getting alerts for that!
-
Yep. When people start using the comments like an IM conversation.. and you arent really a part of it. Its nice to not get a little comment thing everytime they say something to one another. Though I have no idea who would EVER do a thing like THAT... *innocent look* :) ~+~
-
Oh yes. When other people get into conversations with each other in a comment thread on my question I always unsubscribe! Not that I care...I just don't need to read their conversation! haha
-
Yes, I do. And more often lately. Some threads just go off on a never-ending tangent that I get tired of. And then there's the trolls/bigots who go off on everyone bashing/trashing/bible-thumping and I just can't take it anymore of the b.s.
-
I don't even know what exactly it's used for, so I've never used it. What is it anyhow?
-
Yeah ...I've found it useful at times ....especially when someone's tried to get onto my nerves ...lol :-)
-
I've only ever used it once or twice, when some very chatty ABers have decided to have a full on conversation that doesn't include me, and I receive all their comments.
-
I've used it a couple of times... One to STOP a potential argument (I just said let's agree to disagree on this, told him I was unsubscribing, and did so), and a couple of times when others were conversing and went off topic to the question/answer.
-
yes i do.
-
Yeah, it prevents me from receiving more comments from threads that I don't want to see anymore.
-
No, not really. I hardly ever get caught in comment threads in which I don't like or feel the need to unsubscribe. It's a good option though.
-
No, I've never used it, although it has been used on ME. It's very handy if someone wants the last word, quote: "blah, blah, blah, and I'm unsubscribing now. I don't want to hear anymore." (I cheated, though, I STILL got the last word, whether it was read by my aggravated "friend" or not.) *SMILES*

I just love it..our friend Arisztid said he thought it was the greatest invention since sliced bread and I tend to agree. Sometimes you are involved in a thread and then others come aboard and chat and the thread goes off in another direction without you. That allows you to bow out gracefully without anyone noticing and they can continue their chat. Some of our threads, if not most of them, have a life of their own and I think they should be allowed to continue! :) Happy Thursday, Rick! :) ((hugs))Whoever was involved in its creation, hip hip hooray! :)
-
I used it for the first time the other day,I found it very helpful to keep from going off on a very rude person.
-
Occasionally... but sometimes I accidentally click it when I don't mean to, which is annoying.
-
Yes.
-
Yes, I think it's useful and helpful!
-
Quite useful, indeed it is!
