What would your cause of action be? To get your tuition back you would have to show that the school breached the contract. Even if unfair treatment is a breach (which I can't imagine it being), you still would only be entitled to the loss as a result of the breach.

I am going throug the same problem. They don't care how accademically his doing, all they care is about giving him stupid demerits. He has 3 automatically detentions already. 1 because the teacher though he was cheating, he got a 92% but since he talked while passing the test he was found guilty. 2. He was upsent for two days, and copied answers that were already checked by the entire class. He asked permission from the student, but when the vice principal asked her, she denied it. So he served detentions. 3. was because he didn't attend to the second detention, and i explained that i had not receive the detention slip yet. Catholic School is getting worse every year.

I have a Muslim friend who attends a catholic school, just because his parents think it's a better environment. Anyways, that's not the point. The point is, that many students are suffering the same problem because of some random demerit system which puts everything in their teachers control. So, like 3 demerits count for a suspension. And teachers don't know how many demerit the student has so they can't be generous about it.... You MIGHT be able to talk with the ...principle? but I doubt you can SUE them for following procedure :|

If they are following school policy, then I don't think you can do much about it. You should talk to the school to see if there is anything you can work out with the teacher you consider to be unfair. Otherwise, you can put your child in a different school. I would assume if this teacher is that horrible, there will have been other complaints.
