Do you view someone who is being melancholy as being morbid or do you look at the two as being two different emotions?

i think they are to different things melancholy kinda wistfully sad and morbid way overboard

They are two very different emotions.

I believe they are different..just as "depressed" and "sad" are different..to me melancholy has overtones of "wistful", "longing" whereas "morbid" focuses on things like death! :(
