  • Hard drive: that is the actual storage space on your computer, where all your programs and any files on your computer are located, including your system files. Floppy disk: unless you are using a very old computer, you should't have to worry about them. They are small disks with an outside of plastic, used to store small files, back in the 80's and 90s RAM is the memory of your computer. That doesn't mean where it remembers things, but rather how fast it can access data and process your input/output. the more memory you have, generally the faster your pc will work. ROM is just another way of saying storage space, as in a hard drive Tape is just another storage form. The tapes are usually very apparently tapes to anyone who lived through the 80s/90s and got used to cassette tapes. The size is usually not the same as a regular cassette, and this is not the most efficient storage type.
