I don't have any weight problems, m'dear..I used to years ago. Either my metabolism changed and works more efficiently or my food choices have improved. There is no one food, the removal of which, will solve all weight problems..unless one eats fast-food for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday or drinks a 12 pack of soda daily, not the diet kind..then I'd say "drop all fast food" or "stop with the soda already!" :) Happy Wednesday! :) ((hugs))

  • I used to be quite overweight..had high bp/cholesterol. It wasn't any one food that was the problem...it was the amount! And also, too much fat. I'm a Lifetime Weight Watchers member now. It's not really so much a "diet" as a lifestyle change. There's not really anything forbidden to eat...it's all about portion control and moderation. You can eat fatty foods, you just need to cut down on how much. I have lost 82 lbs, and trying to shave 2-3 more off. Keeping it off is just as hard as getting it off!

    We miss our girl!

It wasn't because of my weight, but I stopped eating meat (all but fish) and I've lost 20 lbs without trying! I still eat a lot of cheese and pasta (I always try to get the newer pastas with more fiber and such) and potatoes.

There is no one food for me that eliminating would cause me to lose weight. BUT, I pretty much stopped ice cream, butter, bread, potatoes and cut way down on pasta. I have lost 22 lbs. That is my experience. Good luck!

I cut out soda of all kinds (even diet..it's not the sugar that makes you gain weight, it's the other crap) and deep fried foods. I lost 30 pounds within 4 months and feel fantastic.

I now treat myself to a pepsi once in awhile and deep fried foods (wontons or fries) if I make them at home from scratch.

I put on weight following surgery as I had to lie on my back for six weeks and my husband's cooking wasn't as healthy as my own.

For 3 months once I was up and about and back to cooking myself I cut out potatoes, red meat and bread and lost around a stone.

I substituted potato with sweet potato which I roasted in a little olive oil with cajun spice.

I would eliminate all fried foods and start baking everything you used to fry. Eat a ballanced meal including all food types it will make feel less hungary. Always include fruit with breakfast lunch and dinner.

Anything carb related. My doctor is always lecturing me that I don't eat enough FRESH fruits and veggies. I'm subsisting on bread, pasta, crackers & cereal. All carbs.
