no, but maybe it's because when I borrow something I return it promptly and in good condition. (well, there was a girlfriend and a motorcycle that were a little worse for the wear)

I try not to borrow anything from anyone for that reason.Besides,I think if you borrow an item from someone,you'd better have the money to repair or replace it if you damage it.It's better to be self-sufficient.
