Is it true that there is a group of young men who live their whole lives without ever touching the ground in anticipation of the coming of the Messiah? Also, if the red heifer is "engineered" does it still count?

I read that it is a religion that is dying out,and is followed by very few people on a worldwide scale.From the figures that I have seen on population and mainstream religions I would say it is true.

Why don't you spell out Lord or God, but He and Him are OK? It would seam to me that the inference is the same, only the context varies. That would then involve the same intent, no?

I am tussling with my christian brothers over The Name. they insist His Name is God. Surely you dont believe the same word is His Name. Isnt there a Hebrew Name that would be closer to the truth instead of a three letter symbolic word? God is English. Theos is Greek.

Each Rabbi has their own concepts about the Messiah, and the origin of life. there doesnt seem to be one doctrinal statement about judaism.

There are lot of similarities in Hinduism and Judaism but my knowledge is limited to what I read but I would love to understand more on that.Frankly here in India we hardly have anyone who can tell us that in detail. Maybe I have to learn from a Guru.Are there any books which talk about that? Is there anyone here who is able to tell me about it? As far as your question goes.I believe in everything and know that everything that is true!

I once played the part of the rabbi's son in Fiddler on the Roof, and in order to get into the spirit of the character I learned as much as I could, from the local rabbi as well as other leaders of the Jewish community here. So at least what I learned was from the most authoritative sources I could find. . Now my mind is filled with esoteric trivia about why the mezuzah is placed diagonally etc. :)

I read about a tribe in Japan that seems to be Jewish in that their rituals resemble Jewish rituals.

That Moses was raised in the Egyptian court, with access to the Egyptian library, and that the Mosaic laws came from that source. That Moses was a pragmatist who knew that if he said "You should do this because it's good for you", nobody would listen; but if he said "You should do this because G-d says so", they would.
