Here's a guess... probably because it was too traumatizing -- could you imagine any day in your life, and suddenly *everything* changes, and you can't find your way back to that place you were moments before -- I hope something like that never happens again -- but it will one day -- and maybe that's why most people fear death so much. There's no turning back from that either.
