Do you really care who your county coroner is, and what party they belong to?

Not really. As long as they are qualified, what does it matter what party they are affiliated with? Doesn't have any bearing on how they process bodies.

Ive never really thought about it, I guess its important if you are getting an autopsy.

The coroner is an adminstrator. the pathologist does the autopsy. Quincy's boss was the Coroner. Quincy was the Chief Pathologist.

I'm from the UK and the post of Coroner is not a political appointment, so the party of the Coroner would be of no interest or importance. His legal qualifications are far more important.
