I guess it can but those symptoms sound more like depression. But if you're anything like me, you often feel anxious and depressed at the same time. I can hardly remember a time when I didn't feel that way but it gets worse from time to time. The shakiness is from the fight or flight response where adrenaline is dumped into your bloodstream by your body. It would last as long as you felt really nervous. It won't kill you even though it feels very unpleasant.

I felt that way every time I feel burnt out. Rest and getting away from everybody is the best thing to do. But ultimately you are the only one who will know what should be done.

Sounds exactly like anxiety. The "shakiness" will vary from person to person, as some do not experience it at all. I suggest you pick up a book about anxiety to help you further understand how it works. "Mastery of Your Anxiety" is a good workbook. I suggest you get in touch with a psychologist. They will work with you (sans medication, they can't prescribe) to overcome your anxiety. A psychologist can determine if medication would be a good option along with behavioral therapy, and can make a recommendation to your primary care physician(who may or may not be comfortable prescribing for this purpose), or set you up with an appointment with a psychiatrist. There are many medications available, some for daily usage, some for PRN(as needed), depending on your situation. Good luck!
