  • That is an interesting question and thought that you have floated there. We know that Jesus has not returned in a different form because that is not what his Father has revealed about him. God does not play "games" with people. No rather as the Bible writer Daniel said, "There exists a God in the heavens who is a Revealer of secrets". (DANIEL 2:28) At his return, Christ does not come to live on earth. Rather, those who are to rule as kings with him are taken to live with him in heaven. Jesus told his apostles: "I am coming again and will receive you home to myself, that where I am you also may be." (John 14:3) So, when Christ returns, those who are taken to heaven become spirit persons, and they see Christ in his glorified spirit body. (1 Corinthians 15:44) But do the rest of humankind, who do not go to heaven, see Christ when he returns? That same night Jesus went on to say to his apostles: "A little longer and the world will behold me no more.(John 14:19) The "world" refers to humankind. So Jesus here plainly said that people on earth would not see him again after his ascension to heaven. The apostle Paul wrote: "Even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, certainly we now know him so no more." 2 Corinthians 5:16. Yet many persons believe that Christ will return in the same human body in which he was put to death, and that all those living on earth will see him. The Bible, however, says that Christ returns in glory with all the angels, and that he sits "down on his glorious throne." (Matthew 25:31) If Jesus were to come and sit as a man on an earthly throne, he would be lower in station than the angels. But he comes as the mightiest and most glorious of all these spirit sons of God and is therefore invisible, just as they are. Philippians 2:8-11. Consider how the Bible describes the manner in which Jesus left his apostles on his way to heaven: "While they were looking on, he was lifted up and a cloud caught him up from their vision." (Acts 1:9) So when Jesus began going into the sky, a cloud hid him from the literal eyesight of his apostles. The departing Jesus, therefore, became invisible to them. They could not see him. Then in his spiritual body he ascended to heaven. (1 Peter 3:18) Thus his return also would be invisible, in a spiritual body. In the same way, Christ's return does not mean that he literally comes back to this earth. Rather, it means that he takes Kingdom power toward this earth and turns his attention to it. He does not need to leave his heavenly throne and actually come down to earth to do this. So clearly, there is no need to guess about the matter of Christ's return. As theses scriptures show, God wants us to understand the nature of Jesus' return. Reference " Paradise on Earth", page 142 WT Bible and Tract Society 1989 And cited Bible versus
  • Please read Mark 13 in the Bible where Jesus explains to his disciples exactly what will happen prior to his return and also what will happen at his return!!! Also, read Revelation 1:7 which tells us every eye will see him when he returns!!!
  • That's a weird thought.... IF God was amoung his people... Abortion would cease to be Sexual immorality would be done with All the worlds governments would be governed by God Israel would be destroyed & rebuilt & God would be in Jerusalem right now... The only people alive would be those who believe in Jesus...
  • David Koresh and Charles Manson are a few to claim they were the second coming of Jesus.
  • I believe that Jesus did already return. There are several reasons why, here are a few of them... In Matthew 24 Jesus is questioned by His disciples about when the end of the world (Age) would be and His second coming. Jesus gave them a list of signs to look for then He says that they will see Him coming in the clouds of heaven to gather His elect. He doesn't tell them the day or the hour but He does tell them the generation that all these things will be fulfilled in... Matt 24:34 (KJV) 34 Verily I say unto you, THIS GENERATION shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. If you read through the books of the apostles you will find that all the signs that Jesus told them to look-out for were all fulfilled. For example, one of the signs that Jesus tells His disciples to look for is that the gospel will be preached throughout the whole world (Matt 24:14) This was fulfilled... Romans 1:8 (KJV) First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. Romans 10:18 (KJV) But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. Colossians 1:23 (KJV) If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; There is not enough room here cite all of the fulfilled signs but the Symbolic Bible website has them all listed there. Here are a few other reason why I believe Jesus already returned for His Saints (Elect)... If you look at the first verse in the book of Revelation you will find that John was about to be show things that must SHORTLY come to pass Revelation 1 (KJV) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Then at the end of the book of Revelation John is told that Jesus will come QUICKLY and that he should not seal up the words in the book because the time is AT HAND. Revelation 22:10 (KJV) And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. Now if you look at the book of Daniel, you will see that Daniel is also given a vision of the end (this happened many, many years before John has his vision) but Daniel was not told to spread the word. Instead Daniel was told to shut up the words and seal them because it wouldn't be for MANY days. He is also told that he would die before the end came. Daniel 12:4 (KJV) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:13 (KJV) But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. Moreover most of the apostles were taught by Jesus Himself and they knew that He would return within their generation... Hebrews 1:2 (KJV) Hath in THESE last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 1 John 2:18 (KJV) Little children, IT IS the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that IT IS the last time. So my thought is... If Jesus Himself said that it would happen within the generation of His disciples, all the signs that He gave them to look for were fulfilled, the apostles knew it and the book of Revelation backs it up... Then I believe it. The bible doesn't lie but 2000 years of altered history books and doctored history papers may not be very reliable in the end. Now, I must say that I do not believe that we are now living in heaven on earth. The bible clearly says that after the saints (His elect) are (were) taken at Christ's second coming, Satan would then be bound for 1000 years and then be released to go about deceiving the world (this is where I believe we are now in time). After Satan deceives the world, Jesus will return with the saints and the bible says that the saints will judge the world (us). Then all who are found to be worthy will enter through the gates into His Holy City. Revelation 20:1-3 (KJV) 1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. Revelation 20:7-8 (KJV) 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. Revelation 21:2 (KJV) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 1 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV) Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Revelation 22:14 (KJV) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. It is so important to look at the original languages that the bible was written in, in order to put the bible into it's intended context. For example the word "World" is used to translate several different words from the original Greek into English. Some of these words have totally different meanings. See the following example... Luke 2:1 (KJV) And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the WORLD should be taxed. We know that Caesar did not tax everyone on the entire globe but rather the tax was for everyone in the region. The use of the word "world" in this instance was a mistranslation. • Jesus will not return to earth [ literal return]because...He was and is perfect. So he does things perfectly...What he did on the earth 2,000 years ago was a perfect job. He does not have to do it again. But the bible oes say he will return. How?. His return is in influence...From the time of his influence beginning, a small group will and has began obeying his instructions to the letter... He said he would return...as in a cloud...and we all know that nothing can be literally seen in cloud...but what is there is obvious by its effect... Like a 747 airliner in cloud...roaring but you cannot see it. Do you doubt it is there? No. You KNOW it is. Jesus askes us to preach the KINGDOM...So who is doing this...just like Jesus...door to door. (Acts 5:42) And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus. (Acts 20:20) while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house. (Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
