  • no everyone has a right to their opinions. And anyway, why give someone with such inflammatory hate speech towards all people a platform? This individual has obviously been pushed to the back of the room, so to speak, in order to let the situation die down.
  • What were his 'racist' remarks? Could you provide a link? I read what he said about America but did not find anything racist in it.
  • Of course If Michael Richards and Mel Gibson had to apologize he should too. Jackson & Sharpton should make him do so.
  • What did he say?
  • I think forcing someone to apologize nullifies it's intent. I personally don't care because a- Obama isn't the one who said it and b- I never planed to follow "god" the way Rev. Wright says I should.
  • If he owes anyone an apology, it's his congregation. Wright is their pastor, their spiritual advisor. Preaching bias to them in the name of God is doing them a disservice.
  • no...his remarks are no more offensive to white americans than the actions of the government have been to black americans
  • this man is a farce, and a false teacher. he is a lunatic and a pity people still do not care, as long as he continues to tickle his flock's ears.
  • Sure, right after White Americans issue an apology for the way they have treated blacks, American Indians, Hispanics, Italians, etc. etc. for the racists things they have done to them
  • Yes, but I am not holding my breath.
  • Can you provide a link or verifiable quote for the racist remarks? I recall that he made a lot of anti-government and anti-American society comments (some of which I agree with, frankly), but I don't recall any hatred-against-Caucasians-as-a-race comments.
  • No. Taken out of context and demonized by the neo-cons. Besides, if you put yourself in the shoes of most black people, even out of context it's hard to argue.
  • He doesn't owe me an apology. He didn't insult me personally. Frankly, I couldn't care less what Jeremiah Wright says or does. He will have to answer to God not me.
  • Who cares what some idiot says about white Americans. I could care less. What I do care about is the fact that Obama doesn't have a problem with the things he's been saying. "God damn America" sound familiar? Now, that's scary. Don't blame me. I wanted Fred Thompson.
  • I am not white. I am an American, too. Yes, jeremiah, wright owes Americans an apology for the racists. Well, he is not alone. jesse jackson, mfume, nations of islam(black cults, al sharpton, and others owe Americans an apology for racists. If they are not happy about here. So, why do not they go to find old place africa?
  • yes, but we'll never get it....but don't worry,,,does he think God wasn't listening? and i agree, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are just as racist and do bad to the civil rights...but black overlooks it cause their black....BUT , Martin Luther King they are not.....they couldn't walk a mile in his shoes.......i was just as offended with the Benediction Prayer at the Presidential Inaugration...this truly was a race election...more than a best man for the job..but then there was not much to pick from....Kennedy was 1st catholic and Obama 1st...move on...lets help the people and keep our country free and safe.....thats his job....
  • In his own mind he believes what he said. So how do we expect something from someone who thinks he's right. I don't think we will ever get an apology from this one.
  • That would be interesting,wouldn't it?It won't happen.
  • Would anyone really have noticed if he wasn't "Barack Obama's pastor"?
  • don't hold your breath
  • This is America, you are allowed to say and piss off whoever you want.
  • No. Would it be nice if he did apologize? - Yes. But if we are going to make everyone apologize for saying what they believe to be true, then we are going to have apologies left and right and losses of rights across the board. Other than making the blood of those who couldn't ignore him boil with anger, he did not actual harm. In fact, the person he probably harmed most still won the election. And if we are going to say that someone owes different groups of people apologies for going on the air and saying terrible things about several groups of people, then I am going to call every member of the FOX News Channel to follow in tow.
  • Absolutely. After hearing some of the sermons, it explains Obamas statement of "bitter Americans clinging to their guns and religion." To go to a church like that you have to be bitter.
