  • Just be her friend, I suppose. There's nothing really you can do to change who your real parents are. I have a friend who's best friends with an old teacher.
  • Everyone has a favorite teacher they feel especially close to. This will be one of your best memories from school. You've been blessed. Wallow in the friendship while you can because eventually school will end. Then you might be even better friends.
  • I am a teacher, so trust me on this one. We are different people at work than we are at home. You really don't know the person at home, just the teacher in the classroom. It is part of our job to look like exceptional people at school, and maybe some of us are. But at home we are people with flaws like everybody else.
  • I think 'adoption' is taking it a little far, unless you're in foster care and up for adoption. Just be happy and grateful that you have an awesome teacher, and show her how much you respect her. Allow her to be your mentor, and eventually you may become true friends. I am a teacher myself, and I am now friends with a few of my former-teachers. Since you're a teenager, you'll be an adult within a few years, so don't worry about adoption and just be thankful to have her in your life.
  • Are you two actually close? Are you feeling like an orphan? I don't think I ever had that desire.
