Why do people seem to take things so personally, even when they are not meant to harm? Can you think of any examples of this ? Why do you think they reacted that way?

Audiotron, I once posted a similar question here on AB, because I was getting sick and tired of these people "reacting" to a seemingly innocuous question or answer I posed. I remember I once said "Men and women are different. They are not the same," and suddenly I was "attacked" by ten or so AB'ers telling me I'm wrong or telling me to "screw myself" (pardon the language). I couldn't believe the reaction I got and how "inflammatory" my little comment became. Geez!! People need to get a life and stop being so damn sensitive and whiny! Quit reacting as if there was a rash about to break out in your nether regions. LOL.
