I imagine he's very busy.
-
The Philly LGBT community gave Senator Barack Obama a hilarious snub after he declined to sit down for an interview.
-
He's probably extremely busy and wants to spend his time with really big rallies, news groups, etc. I don't know much about the Philadelphia Gay News, but I'm pretty sure Obama doesn't have time for smaller publications, no matter who they are.
-
Probably because he's being selective about the agencies he gives quotes to or who he has time for. I don't believe, at all, that Barack is anti-gay. I would lean more toward what Twhupfold pointed out, which is that he's focusing more on the bigger stuff.

He's trying to gain votes among middle-class white voters in Philadelphia so that he can beat Hilary. It would have
-
My guess is that he does not want to make a big deal out of his support of the gay community so that he can get the more socially liberal conservatives to vote for him. It's his only chance at getting elected. If he comes out strong on gay rights, he'll turn conservatives off. All candidates do this.
-
I don't know. IMHO, he's not working very hard to win over the LGBT community's votes.
-
Because he seems to be refusing to make a clear stand on alot of important issues for risk of losing the vote of the other side of the issue. He is afraid of showing support for the LGBT community, because then he would ostracize the conservative voter. In my opinion, any candidate who won't take a clear stand is just trying to manipulate the american voters to get elected, not based on their actual views, but based solely on party affiliation. There is nothing more dangerous than a person voted into command of the most powerful nation on the planet without ever making clear what they intend to do with that power.
-
I could only assume that he wants to avoid a conflict between gays and his religious life.
-
Time more than likely. I'm no fan of Obama. Has he been interviewed by the Advocate, 365 gay? There are only so meny hours in the day and every interview is an opportunity for you to step on your face. BTW, I will more than likely vote for John McCain just for point of reference.

because the Clinton campaigners would have launched into a fear campaign about him and made up stories about how he will turn America into a gay run country and that this would lead to the moral decay and destruction of it... you know the type of bullshit they are good at and of course the religious right winged bigots would have had a field day ...he was right to do what he did , he can be interviewed after he gets elected
-
I don't know about this whole "He's far too busy to address LBGT issues.". Smells like an oily sidestep to me.
-
she did the interview only because she is looking at defeat, if she was winning there is no way she would have done it, and not once did she give a firm yes to any questions , she kept on saying the fed's didn't have the power to do things ...bullshit , the feds can and have forced the ststes to change laws or to fall in line with fed laws many many times before just by withholding fed funds... so she could do these things if she wanted to ...but I wouldn't be holding my breath
