Just because your period didnt start on the day it was due, its no need to panic and assume your pregnant, wait a couple of days and if it doesnt start then see your doctor, now please dont take offence by what im going to say next, but even though you are on the pill, the "pull-out" method isnt exactly safe, you should use a condom to protect you from STD'S

One day late probably isn't anything to worry about. But if you're worried, see your doctor or stop into your local Planned Parenthood and get some Plan B just to be safe...

G'day Anonymous, Thank you for your question. If you have started the pill within the past month, quite high. My understanding is that it takes six weeks to become effective. Regards

Unfortunately if you have only been taking the pill for about a month the chances of you being pregnant are quite high. The shot is much more effective, but always use a condom just in case. You might want to see about getting the morning after pill reletively quickly.

Take a pregnancy test if you feel uncomfortable... but if you're just going on the Pill, your cycle is going to be VERY funky for a few months.

My Dr. told me that I had to use condoms during the first month of the pill. You are not protected against pregnancy during your first month because your body is getting used to the horomones. It tells you all about it in the insert that comes with the pills. You shouldn't be having unprotected sex during the first month.

The pill can mess with your cycle when you first start taking it. Your period may not come on the day you're used to. If you haven't missed a day of the pill, don't panic. Call the doctor that prescribed the pill to you and ask what you should do.
