If you mean "Does the arabic work Allah translate to God?" the answer is "yes."

The word 'Allah' simply means 'the God' The Arabs, long before Mohammed, made the word allah very special. Because you can't change it, unlike 'the god' which can be changed to 'the gods', 'the goddess', 'the godfather' etc etc, Muslims often leave it as 'allah' rather than translate it into other languages. You'll find Allah in the Bible as well, the Arabic versions of course. In Arabic 'ilah' (=god) and ‘al’ (= the definite article ‘the’) so 'alilah'(=the god). Here the Arabs have fused the article and the noun together by removing the second vowel (i) and created a special word 'allah' that cannot be split back into its components. (a bit like 'do not' becoming 'dont' by dropping the second vowel) Not only that, the new word was exempt from all operations that normally transform any given Arabic root word to reflect gender, number and give it many different shades of meanings. So 'allah' (the god) has no gender and no plural. If you want to say 'the gods' you have to go back to the 'alilah' form of 'the god' and change that to 'alaaliha' (=the gods).
