  • If there is absolutely no reason for the depression I would think it is medical, you may be down on vitamins/minerals and need a boost via supplements, give them time to work (a week) you may be surprised...good luck :o)

  • yes. quite a few times actually. i don't really know what to do about it. it makes me feel almost guilty to be so depressed and what not for no reason. i feel bad that i don't have a serious and legitimate reason for my sudden episodes of depression, but i fear it may be because i have depression, and there's nothing i can do about it. maybe it's not our fault.
  • Sometimes situational depression can show up,even if there is no signs of depression or a reason for it. Humans can become depressed for any number of reasons, they don't all have to be life ending stop the world things either, depression is part of life. How we react to the onslaught of depression defines the severity and how our coping skills can aid us in the time of need. Being aware of the things that trigger the depressed mood is half the battle. I had the opposite happen last summer(08) where my blood sugar was found to be 574(normal range is somewhere around 100 or so)I was angry and combative, ultimately admitted to the hospital.I say this to explain that human behavior can be altered by even the foods we eat or the sodas/water anything taken in, If the depression is long term(as you asked this question many months ago)and you are still in a funk over it, would seek professional help.Free or greatly reduced help is available anywhere, looking up depression on the net(in your area)will bring many sites and phone numbers for you to call to get further info to where you can go. Hope you still check into this site and see what others have written too! Ken
