The Bible has been translated and retranslated over the years so many times that passages that had nothing to do with homosexuality have been twisted to suit the needs of the bigots. They pick and choose Bible verse and use it out of context....using religion to justity their hatred. They are nothing but hypocrites who believe every lie, assumption and lame stereotype that's been force-fed to them by the bigots who raised them. Bolstering your point kedar. There is not one reference to Homosexuality as we understand it today in the bible. Tradition is the only reason for the reference and tradition is a much more powerful factor in a Church than is any Bible quote.

Your suggestion that there was no reference to homosexuality in Sodom is erroneous. See Genesis 19. Men and boys were gathering outside Lot's house in Sodom to have sex with what they thought were two men who were visiting Lot. In fact they were angels but those males who were gathered, all the males of Sodom in fact, plainly indicated that they wanted to have homosexual sex with what they thought were two men. The true church is composed of those led by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8) However, Jesus warned that there would be false prophets and false brethren amongst christians. You know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7) These grow together until the harvest. (Matthew 13)Those who advocate homosexuality in churches are contradicting God's word, which refers to homosexuals as unrighteous, unholy, profane, ungodly, etc. (1 Timothy 1) Such unrepentant sinners will not inherit the Kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6)As for those who openly sin, congregations are instructed to expel them to prevent the evil spreading. 'You shall put out the evil person from amongst you'. (1 Corinthians 5) There is nothing modern or new about sexual perversions. They were the reason for the Canaanite tribes being wiped out. (Leviticus 18)Those tribes had defiled themselves by indulging in incest, homosexuality, bestiality etc. The land itself had become defiled by these practices and it 'spewed them out'.
