  • I don't live in the US but I hope this link will help- http://www.dmv.org/help/questions/36/
  • I'm guessing since you call yourself a "legal midget," you're just under 5-feet tall. That's far from disabled. If you can reach the pedals, you can walk the extra few feet. Geez. And I think most midgets would punch you in the shins if you called them "disabled."
  • I was watching a show today and was informed that "midget" is a distasteful name. Supposedly "dwarf" or "little person" is more socially approved. From what I saw, these folks who are shorter than the average person have no problem getting in an out of their vehicles and driving them. Getting a handicapped placard would be good to get parking during the holiday season.
  • unless you're like 3 ft and can barely cross the road and hold the spoon, there's no way you're a handicap for being a midget.
  • hey man its kewl.... you should get your own card you deserve it! there are alot of bitches on this website especailly snakelover and you dont deserve to be treated that way.
  • It's obvious that many permits have been issued to non-handicapped people. There is also the problem of people who use someone else's permit. A crack-down is due with high fines for fakers.
  • so I am online trying to figure out how to do the same thing! my doc is cool so I think he will help me out. I guess I really don't need one but It would really piss off the building services guy where I work who thinks he is like the parking police of the company....Soooo I have to figure out how to get this done. I am 4ft9in. Can you help me out? How do I get started?
  • WELL I AM NOT A MIDGET, 5'0.I DON'T THINK BEING 3 INCHES SHORTER THAN ME GIVES ANYONE THE RIGHT TO HAVE BETTER PARKING, SHORTER WALKING DISTANCE TO AND FROM STORES ETC..PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR CARS LIKE THE REST OF US DO..WEAR A BRIGHT YELLOW JACKET OR A REALLY TALL HAT.
  • People run the risk of being hit by a car in a parking lot no matter how tall they are. Handicap parking is not because of a risk factor for accidents, it's because of accessibility issues. After all, it's easier for someone in a wheelchair to get out of a vehicle if there's that extra space there. Not to mention people who have trouble walking and use canes or crutches, the elderly, and those with sight impairments. Being short is not a disability. I'm 4'9" myself, and I would never consider getting a placard just for that. It's completely unnecessary and a waste of resources. You're short - not disabled. Deal with it like the rest of us.
