Why isn't Slash in the top 10 in any ''Greatest Guitarists List''?

Usually when people are talking greatest guitarists, they ASK slash....should say something about him.

Because he isn't. Close, but I know players personally who are better. A lot better... He's excellent but......in the Joe Perry league.

That’s a good question he should be in the top ten he is in my opinion, for Gibson to come out with the Slash series Les Paul and Epiphone Les Paul standards that should say a lot and for those morons who will say its all about the money do you think Gibson has a hard time selling Les Pauls ?And to say Slash is in the Joe Perry league is just stupid, Eric Clapton arguably 1 of the best to ever hold a guitar said Slash has done things with a guitar that makes me scratch my head Im sure Slash feels the same way. heres a list with slash in the top 10 http://www.the-top-tens.com/lists/greatest-guitarists-ever.asp And remember top ten lists are opinions there is no real test

Because if we're talking about pure technical ability and the amount of influence that he's had on guitar players, he's relatively far down the list. Guys like Jimmy Page, David Gilmoure, Joe Satriani, James Petrucci, and even Tom Morello or Adam Jones have done more as far as defining their own kind of style and reinventing the way the guitar is looked at goes.

No doubt he's one of them. He should be on the lists.

He's not THAT good. He has a style. Or "sound" But he isn't that original.
