Some people have a problem with stopping their sweat as it can clog and make an infection in their pores. SO it's better for them to sweat but not smell as bad.
-
I use deoderant because I want to be sure that I'm aiming it at my arm pits and sometimes spray's can make me sneeze! :-)
-
Some people don't (or rarely) sweat.
-
It's a waste of money to me. They may as well just use a talcum powder, at least they'll get some dryness with that.

I Use Both
-
Because of the aluminum content in antiperspirant. Plus, at my job I sweat either way anyway.

Antiperspirant - that is, the type of stuff that you put under your arms to prevent sweat - is a somewhat stronger substance. It contains aluminum derivatives and some people think that it is bad for you. These are usually hippie types who use these rocks of salt. Whatever works for you. Americans are too obsessed with personal hygene, most people taking 2 showers a day, applying all sorts of creams, lotions, deodorants. I use an unscented antiperspirant ("Sure" I think.) and hope for the best. I've tried Gilette gel but it makes my armpits itch.
-
Mine is both a deodorant and an anti-perspirant.
-
I don't perspire during the cooler months so I use a deodorant then. I use a an antiperspirant gel during the warmer months that contains a deodorant. The gel feels cool and somewhat refreshing when I put it on then but it would feel too cold to put on during the winter.
-
Yes they do. they're probably health conscious and want to avoid undue aluminum contact or so I would imagine.
-
I think anti-perspirant is unhealthy. There's a reason why your body perspires. That sweat is suppposed to leave the body. I get rashes from anything I put on it, so I spray the outside of my t-shirt with Right Guard and Febreeze.

Antiperspirant is bad for you, as your body needs to sweat in order to cool down. Using antiperspirant stresses out your body, stress leads to inflammation, inflammation leads to cancer.
