I dont know about where you live but here in Cambridge UK we call the surgery at 8am and get the next available appointment the same day. Every surgery is different though and if you call after 9am you are unlikly to see a doctor, but an emerganct doctor at the end of the day and sometimes you have to wait 1 hour to see them. Not too bad really.

It depends, at least here in Venezuela ... I usually go to a private hospital, because public hospitals aren't good here. Sometimes I have to wait a week (if it's not an emergency), but yesterday I made an appointment with the optometrist, and it's on may 7th !!! That's a long time, even for Venezuelan standards

Something like 3 weeks.

I can usually get an appointment with my family doctor the next day, and maybe wait up to 2 months for a full physical (though I book those well in advance anyway). Specialists are another story. It took me 8 months to get an appointment with my dermatologist and about two months to see a gynocologist.

Within a week is not ill; same day or next if ill.
