tit·tle [ títt'l ] (plural tit·tles) noun Definition: 1. tiny bit: a tiny bit of something 2. mark used in printing: a small mark used in printing and writing, e.g. an accent, punctuation mark, or diacritical mark So from this we have "tiny bit," "small mark," etc. Also, I would use "dot" or "blip."

I always thought the "jot" was the dot over a "j" or an "i". The Tittle is the small horizontal line in a "t" or capital "I".
