Is it me or is the bible fully based on latin, jesus is a latin name not a jerusleam name?

The old testament is based upon Ancient Hebrew and much of the gospels were originally in Greek (well the oldest surviving copies we have are). I believe Jesus is of a greek deravation (Iseus) from (hebrew via aramaic) Yehoshua/Joshua. The Christian Bible was first compiled in Latin of course.
