I can't count the number of times I have worn a formal dress. All of the occasions were the most memorable as they were incredibly dull.

I've worn a tuxedo many, many times. Officially, I've worn one 3 times, to my Junior Prom, and the weddings of two sets of friends. Unofficially, I used to own a tuxedo that I bought at a secondhand store, as well as a pink tuxedo shirt and a pink and black bowtie. I wore it often in college, just to be weird. Like, I'd wear it to class, and to parties, and on dates. I was really proud to have it. I still have most of it except the shirt (sob) because I left a stick of gum in my pants when I was doing laundry and the shirt got wrecked. Most memorable event: The wedding of my two best friends, Lura and Dan. I have never had a better time in my entire life. Here's a pic of me partying:

Being british I have always called it black tie rather than tuxedo. I can't recall how many times to be honest, I used to do a lot of orchestral performing which black tie was required as well as balls and functions. A fair number. Maybe playing the National Yuoth Orchestra final performance in Glasgow, that was fairly memorable.

About 4 times. My most memorable time was my prom. Best night ever.

Worn them quite a few times. Most memorable was this past weekend when we put on formal wear to go to dinner "just because". Around this area you are more likely to get a weird look for being in a tux and gown than for walking down the street in some crazy mismatched glory-drag with dreadlocks going on. It was nice to dress up just to spend time together and enjoy an evening more than just to impress a bunch of stuffed shirts! *smile*

I've worn many formal dresses. Mainly to weddings and other functions that required them. The most memorable event will be this coming week when I am going to a cocktail party at a vinyard.

I've never worn a tuxedo, you have to rent them and you can't cut the tags out! I was at a wedding in April and darn near everyone wore a tuxedo or formal dress. I wore a nice shirt and a tie.

I have worn a formal dress probably around 8 times and the one I wore to a wedding was the most memorable because that is were my fiance finally asked me out! He has only worn a tux around 2 times in his life including the time he went to a wedding at age 8 and our prom.
