There are a few movies that I've bought the soundtrack to before the actual DVD. 1. The Truman Show 2. Pleasantville 3. Dear Frankie and I also own the tracks to The Phantom of the Opera. I can tell you right now that I'm probably going to buy both August Rush and the soundtrack.

Requiem for a Dream. I loved the score before I even saw the film. xD

Any music lover cannot help be moved by the score to August Rush. There was an ever-developing theme that ordinary sounds and patterns from nature and from everyday life can take expression in music. The sounds of the bouncing basket ball, the chains from the rhythmic squeeking swings, horns, sirens and street traffic, fingers rubbing along the rims of partially filled water glasses and more were integrated and found expression in music throughout. "August's Rhapsody" was the culmination of a beautiful and simple love story and reunion, where a man, woman and child found each other through their passion for music and openness to the possibility of joy. Great show about orphans, street life, prodigies, and of course, music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQTsW6TGAUE
