Stay open, you don't want to loose anymore customers, they might not come back :-)
-
By staying open you are gaining "goodwill", that alone is worth more than the cash you would lose :o)

Could always stay open, and take advantage of the slower period by cleaning up the shop, catching up on paperwork, or finally finishing your brackets for the basketball tournament going on now. Can always work on a new advertising campaign, too.

Don a "sandwich board" & walk around outside!

I would stay open. It would be a mistake to close. As you say, if a customer would come to your store in need of something, perhaps even making a special trip to get there, and then find you closed - when you advertized to be open ??? Not a favorite thing of mine, but I am a legendary fusser! LOL Take a hit and do the right thing. Putting the customer first is an attitude, not a switch that you turn on and off. Learn from your mistake. Next year, give yourself and your staff the day off. You deserve it.

Stay open. You never know.

Stay Open more times than you know your business is word of mouth. If say somelady comes to your business and you are Closed during business hours she leaves and goes to the next place like yours then a friend says Im going over to Joes then that lady who came by will say no they are never open and they leave whenever they want to then you lost that customer as well so you make the call take the chance or sit and be bored?!!Good Luck Boss, Hope you have a Great Day

Stay open. :)

Customers depend on consistency. If you close early today you may miss out on customers that could change the whole outcome of the month, not just the day.
-
stay open .. who knows when a customer might come.. if you close you will not get any money..but if someone comes in the next 2 hours you will atleast have some money..Remember "Something is better than nothing ".

How do you compute your losses or gains on a daily basics one would only figure a gain or loss on a larger scale like week or month or season? Judging on a daily scale would be like riding a rollercoaster it would be full of up and downs. If you are really new at what you are now doing and didn’t plan for negative days or negative sales, than you are already at a disadvantage but not at a total loss. Set back and look at the whole picture outside the box and than you will be able to make the better decision on how you present you services to the people so they can come to expect and receive what you have to offer. Good Luck, working for my self all my life – and I am doing just grand.
