Does it annoy you when you find that somebody has written (with their finger) "wash me" on your car/truck?

Annoy, no... confuse... yes! Why do they want me to wash them? Why can't they wash themselves? Nearly everyone I know has access to a shower or tub, and soap. The only thing I can figure is this may be some meme that's popular among the homeless, begging others for a sponge bath perhaps. It's confusing, definitely.

Hi Andy, You nailed a super pet peeve of mine. If you have a car with a nice finish on it and it has some dust on it. The act of rubbing your hand on it is similar to rubbing sandpaper on it.

not really...i love writing stuff on people's cars...once i wrote "your mother hates you" and even "God is a republican".

Nah. I'd rather them write something a bit more creative, or even draw something though.

Actually it's vandalism! When these dopes run their finger on your window or paint they are dragging grit across your beautiful paint job or glass, causing a permanent mark that has to be buffed out!

My little bro made that mistake once. He will never do it again. That's like... seeing a birthday cake and smearing the frosting with your finger. You have to get it fixed. It can put hairline scratches to deep groves in your paint, and make me a very unhappy LeeLee >:(

Ohhhh Yaaaaaa!! That really pisses me off. They might as well use a key or screwdriver. I keep my car very clean but when it rains you just can't keep up sometimes. I love my baby!

I try to keep it clean enough they can't and have been lucky so far. I think it would be a good reminder.... ;)

I never let my vehicle get THAT dirty , but, yes ! If someone did that it would piss me off royally !! Doing that scratches the clear coat and possibly even the paint. If I caught them in the act, I would break their "Writing Finger " off and shove it up their backside !!

when i was 16-ish i wrote "wash me, i'm itchy" on my parents car .. they weren't very happy about that .. made ME wash it and vacuum it and such .. so never again, lol

We always thought it was clever to write: THIS CAR UNDERGOING A SCIENTIFIC DIRT ADHESION TEST. DO NOT WASH UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. It wasn't clever. But we did it anyway.

My car was made almost 70 years ago. As a general rule, you'll never find that much dust or dirt on it, but if I catch some little s**t writing on it with their fingers, they are going to lose them. Period.

Sometimes.....But then there was one day when it seemed to be very LOL ? See what was going on was these school kids would get off the bus at their home that had a large parking lot on it. Behind there home was a yard that I was mowing each week. One week when I noticed the "WASH ME" signs, I came up with a idea. I talked with their mother about it first & then plans were in motion. The next week I parked my truck in that same lot but only along the edge of it, where I had done mowed. And their Mom parked 7 of the company pick-ups all on that same role along the edge of the grass. When those same kids came up along side of those trucks & wrote Wash Me on them. I turned on the under ground water system. 27 little pipes came up out of the nice green grass they were standing in. And by the time they got to the house. They were all washed from head to toe. Their Mom & I could not stop LOL Then we had 4 buckets full of soapy water & clean rags for each of them to use to clean all Mom's company trucks.........M.C.S.

My car rarely gets that dirty...it's never happened to me car. Sure, in the winter it gets washed less often. When I see that, I just think it's really juvenile.

I will admit it...I stupidly did this once to my Mother in-laws car. I paid for the entire car wash afterwards and wil NEVER do it again.I promise!!

Hm.. I don't have a car, but I can't see why it should be such a problem.. They obviously have a point, and as long as they haven't done any damage.. besides, it's just a car

No, not yet Luckily my car is Silver so it does not show the dirt very much. It would probably embarrass me enough to go and get the car washed if somebody did write on it and it was readable

If I ever get a car/truck and I let it get that dirty, I deserve it. Why should I let something I deserve annoy me? Anyway, writing "wash me" on a dirty window sounds like something I would do.
