2 ways, top and bottom. The official way is either. porn stars from the bottom, realistic top. Taking curvature into account you must use a tape measure and not a rule. No it's not a ruler, everybody uses ruler, it's a rule. A soft tape measure is the correct and honest way, from the base on top. Push in a bit to make sure you get it all, some guys have a belly issue that hides some of it. But during intercourse that changes depending on the position. i feel the offical way to measure is to let it sit naturally. Lay it down naturally on a peice of paper. some men curve up so you may need to press the head down to get it flat. Same if its cocked to the left or right or down. Make sure the paper on his end is touching were the penis is touching the body. make a mark on the paper where the tip of the penis is. Then measure from the end of the paper to the mark you made. Don't let the guy touch down there. We can squeeze atleast 2 extra inches on you with our hands. I measure at 8 and 9 inches. Depends on how hard I am.

I agree measuring from top to tip is the honest way. A surprisingly accurate 'shortcut' is to close your hand, extending your middle finger as far up the palm towards your wrist as possible. Then measure from that point on your palm out to the tip of your middle finger. Ladies, this can be a good way to 'size up' a guy without him knowing what you're doing. Unless he knows about this, in which case hopefully he'll be amused. :-) And if anyone is curious, mine is 6.5" measured with the hand shortcut and right at 7" measured from top to tip.

From the base just above the balls to the tip using a tape measure is the most accurate and mine is a little over 8".

Along the top is the generally accepted way to measure the penis. When I was 8 years old, 4 cm soft. At 13 it was 3 7/8 inches hard, at 16, 16 cm hard.

I agree, top of the penis base of belly to the tip of the head. Mine is 9 and 1/2 inches, long 6 1/2 around. my wife says it is too much. The proper way is to measure from the top of the penis to the tip of the head. If your dik when hard sticks out straight you can use a ruler. If any curve use a tape measure. The average penis is 3.5 inches when limp and anywhere from 5-7 inches when erect. Even if your penis is smaller than 3.5 inches when limp, it usually expands to 5-7 inches when erect. I have an unusually large penis. It measures slightly longer than 5 inches limp and 8.75 inches hard. Outside of watching porno movies there are hardly any guys with a penis longer than 8 inches-not more than 5% of all men. Those are statistics based on published studies. Size really doesn't matter however. It is how you use what you got. You only need 3.5 inches to impregnate or have sex with a woman.

I agree with monkey what fints in the lady is what you measure. I am right at 7 inches long by 1 and a quarter wide (measuring the top side to side). Never had a complaint from the 26 women I have been with.

My favourite way to measure it is with girls hands. I suppose from reading the answers the official way is along the top. According to the body position, penis could have or show a little diference with its size. I mean, if you are lying face up the penis is larger than if you are sat down, but this little diference could be of an inch only. Measure it from the base AT THE TOP to the head if you want an accurate measurement. If you want an internet measurement, do it from the bottom, where your ball sac starts, and you'll get an extra inch or so. I've measured mine, from the top, at almost 7.5, and I've measured others too, when i was in school.
