  • I think some have excellent foresight. The flaw is we don't like listening to them.
  • I believe a lot of people do "look before they leap". The problem is that even though they might not be successful at the attempt they choose to leap anyway. Surely they can see the problems that their actions could cause, but they don't care and do it anyway. Or perhaps they are a risk taker and believe the risk is worth taking even if they don't succeed. "ours is not to understand why". As my mother would say "hindsight has 20/20 vision".
  • They are not flawed. There are just some who don't use their foresight or their conscience, or simply choose to ignore those little things that are trying to warn you. And then some people listen to the wrong advice or incomplete knowledge because they feel they 'know enough', are 'smart enough' or 'those things just come naturally'.
  • I agree we are often too stubborn or arrogant to learn from history. Many people don't understand that the same universal laws that apply to others apply to them as well. For example, people don't make wills because they are "too young". Guess what, death can surprise you and if you haven't had the necessary foresight, those you love can face additional burdens on top of dealing with your loss.
