  • Which god? LOL Intelligent Design is proven false because it means god must have been created by a god, so on, so on......
  • God IS considered the highest power, at least with capability of human understanding and reasoning. In addition, having said that, the scripture speaks of us as having very little knowledge (in this life) about anything of eternal. This imperfection (due to the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden) is due to the lack of knowledge (truth). However, God has redeemed us (Jesus Christ – Atonement at the Cross), and for time, we were given a substitute to which introduces God to us, and that is Faith, which is to bring us into direct presence of God, like it was at the beginning.
  • I guess I finally asked the right question! I've been all over the place trying to find out if I'm the only one wondering about, "God's God." Yes, I'm convinced that the Creator God is of another, and that this existence is an emination of the Creator God, in self-exile. I think that we're actually the Creator God's bid for corporeal existence and that Creation has been engineered to result in us, this time around, so that the next version gives the Creator God access to corporeal existence from the inside. I think we're here gathering intelligence, like to get the user's manual together. I think that God, the engineer, is stuck on the outside, as we're not privy to working our own bodies from the inside. I have thought about this a great deal and organizing so elegant a concept is very difficult. It's difficult to take a picture that's in your mind and offer it to someone else to see it as you do. But, I'm working on it. Still, the answer to your question is, "Yes, someone thinks that God's got a Higher Power in the terms of your question. After thinking a hole in the rug about it, I found the Gospel of Judas. A lot of things made sense all of a sudden, but it's still Blasphemy and maybe, dangerous thought. We'll see.
  • No. God is: • The infinite divine being • One in being yet three Persons: . • Father . • Son . • Holy Spirit God has revealed himself as: • The "One who is" • Truth • Creator of all that is • The author of divine revelation • The source of salvation And, of course, God is love. For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 199 and following: http://www.nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt1.htm#199 With love in Christ.
  • As we are know starting to make machines which are more powerful than we are in many aspects, and it is not unthinkable that they could reach some kind of consciousness one day, we can also ask ourselves if you have to be a higher power than something to create it. A lower power could create a higher power. Actually, this is how evolution works. If you imagine something higher creating us, and something still higher creating that something, you get a universe of infinite regression. This is not so easy to understand, in my opinion, than things getting more complex in every evolution stage.
