No not really,you loose points when you ask a question at yahoo,here you don't loose any points.Also,at yahoo you get a limit on asking questions,depending on what level you're on.Here you can ask ask many questions as you want no matter what level you're on.,etc...

No it is not similar, many features are better here, in AB you can answer questions in peace without being scared and manners in AB are important which is always very important.
