  • Living God's way is a everyday struggle. His word (the bible) strengthens you during times like these. Constant prayer and having the word ministered to you helps too.meaning serving him in church. Many people feel that you don't have to be in church to serve God but it is very helpful.
  • Your question reminded me of a similar question posed by a Mr J Krishnamurti that I had recently come across. "What can one do, as a human being, in a world that is torn apart, in a world where there is so much despair and sorrow? And in oneself there is so much confusion and conflict. …What is the way of life in which one can find some kind of peace, some kind of order and yet live in this society which is corrupt, disintegrating?" His answers are quite refreshingly different to most others. Here is a link to some of his work - http://www.jkrishnamurti.org/book_chapters/BeyondViolence_OrderandControl_Chapter8 Hope it helps...
  • keep reading the WORD..stay around fellow Christians...and do not conform to the "ways of this world"... I hate to hear people say , but it is 2008 !! that don't make it okay.... I like these: Jeremiah 6:16 ask for the old paths, where is the "good way", and walk therein.. Acts 17:11 Never stop searching things out for yourself... 1 Thesselonians Prove all things and "hold fast" that which is good. just 1 more thing...for even the most "righteous" today is a terrible struggle...I don't care who it is, the pope, any preacher,etc... it is hard to find peace today, I just keep trying and that is all any of can do.. the morals, ethics, values and respect are desinigrating....
  • This is a good question, and good for you for being concerned enough to ask it! It is a challenge, not only in today's world, but every time and place in history. First, recognize where we get strength: The Bible. Be in it daily- set up a devotional plan that works for you. If you need pointers on how to do that feel free to ask in a comment in this question- I'm willing to help! To that end, memorize passages that speak to your individual passages, so they are handy when those challenges arise. Find mentors and friends that have the same commitment to living God's way. And, finally, recognize that this side of death we will never be sinless. We have constant need to repent- but understand that we have forgiveness in Christ, and that is the most freeing thing in the world! Keep running the race!
  • do you have to be a christian to answer this? if yes then sry but i still believe in God and I think i'm doing what he wants me to do. i follow him by living what i hope is a moral life, i help others and pray. i do what i can to learn about him and the messengers he's sent. i ask forgiveness for the things i do wrong, and i try to keep the preachy part to myself unless i'm approached first so i dont push people away instead. other than that i just try to be what i think is a good example regardless of religion because i try to help make people happy
  • well it seems you have a issue with atheism, yet if someone shows a ounce of a problem with faith, or religion you simply downrate them, and then insult their opinions. This answer is coming from one username, but it is the words of myself, my boyfriend, his cousin, and eight of our friends: We are all atheist, and do NOT believe in god, and we live each of our lives as we will, according to be lawful citizens of this country, and planet. This is a serious answer Hunneebunnyy, and no one person cannot be left out of a public forum. I pity you Hunnee because you seem to see the world with clouded eyes.
