  • Usually people who talk in their sleep are just mumbling and cannot be really understood. Any words that are understandable are a selective few. You're dreaming, so it's not about private matters anyway . . . it's about the dream you're having.
  • I sleep talk alot. its usually when i dont feel good or am sleep deprived.. I have been told i sing in my sleep from time to time which is embarrising too..
  • I wish i knew, i've had a full on convosation with my boyfriend and not remember! I apparently talk about true things and i spill my feelings. this is quite scary when you don't actually know what you have said... i've read it can be casue from anxiety, stress, poor health, alot going on in your life. I don't think there is any way of preventing it as its an involuntary action of your brain!
  • My fiance sleep-talks, and it is getting more frequent. She has recently started sleep-walking too!! It started out as little mumblings I couldn't make out, but she has started speaking quite clearly. Last night for example, she was sat in bed pulling the covers about saying she couldn't find it, and to hurry up and find it. When I asked her what she was talking about she woke up and became very embarrassed! Also, just before we went on holiday, she got out of bed and started moving the cases... when I asked her what she was doing she woke up and laughed, then told me she had been dreaming it was raining and the cases were on the drive and needed bringing in! Any cures?
  • I have sleep talked for years, i remember my mother telling me how my and my (also asleep) father would have full length conversations in the middle of the night. My sisters would also probe me for information whilst i was asleep! I've been single for a number of years, and my sleep talking rarely wakes me, but, i met my partner over 6 months ago and he tells me that i regularly sleep talk and can sometimes remember the content of my coversations. I have also been informed that i have dived out of bed to stop my 4 year old son climbing in the cupboard....besides the fact that my son was actually staying at his fathers that weekend! I worry that my constant chattering will grate on my partners nerves, but he said that he is getting quite used to it now! My son has also started chatting in his sleep!! There is never a quiet moment in my house!
  • Gag yourself before you go to bed
  • i don't know how to stop it. i am 23 and have recently started to sleep talk. i have always had problems with sleep, when i was younger i sleep walked, stopped breathing during sleep and did and still do snore horrendously. my boyfriend is understandably stressed about my sleep, i have said our male names and apparently was tickling him and laughing last night. i just don't know what to do about it, it's really getting me down.
