If the man and woman live in a jurisdiction that recognizes "common law" marriage and if the woman can establish that the relationship was in fact a "common law" marriage in accordance with all requirements, then the woman should be treated the same as any other married woman who is seeking a divorce from her husband. I don't know if she would be entitled to a property settlement in the amount of $50 million. If the woman is considered the man's wife for the purposes of property distribution, the amount of property she is entitled to have must be determined in accordance with the applicable law.
