No, but I heard about it in the news this morning. It was about magnitude 5 and in the region of Manchester and Newscastle. "The British Geological Survey (BGS) initially gave the magnitude for the 12.56am earthquake as 5.3 on the Richter scale but has now said it was closer to 5.2. It said the centre was 8km east of Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, and 22km south west of Grimsby. Seismologist Dr Brian Baptie of the BGS said: "This is a significant earthquake for the UK and will have been widely felt across England and Wales." The BGS said it records around 200 earthquakes in the UK each year - an eighth of which are able to be felt by residents. It said earthquakes of this size occur in the mainland UK around every 30 years but are more common in offshore areas. Wednesday's quake is the largest since 1984 when an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale shook the Lleyn Peninsula of north Wales and was widely felt across England and Wales." The biggest earthquake in the UK for nearly 25 years has shaken homes across large parts of England. People in Newcastle, Yorkshire, London, Manchester, the Midlands and Norfolk and also parts of Wales, felt the tremor just before 0100 GMT. Source BBC news

I saw the questions come up on AB as soon as it happened, and I called my local news station to ask about it. The idiot on the phone said yes, they had an earthquake this morning. I pointed out to her that it was morning right now there, and she saw the date was "tomorrow" and finally figured it out.

Did anyone feel or hear that earthquake last night? By Spaceball Asked 6 hours ago I think you will find yours is a duplicate question. :-)

Nope, unfortunatly. People as far north as Aberdeen said they felt it but I think they are lying to get onto the news... :P Or they are idiots i.e. a lorry went past, shook their house, they wondered what it was, then read the news this morning and was like "omg I felt it..."
