Yes, I do. I don't believe this should lead one to make a conscious decision not to vote. I think it makes the most sense to vote for the lesser of all evils.

It does seem as though much isn't getting done these days. And there seems to be a lot of finger pointing going on as well. Isn't time for the elected officials to earn there keep? Instead of expecting us to act like were not on them?

Incredibly so, most people only see the first news story about a scandal, which is why the McCain news scandal will certainly affect him, even though there wasn't much substance to the story. This is one of the biggest ways disinformation is spread. Another big way is political opponents personally spread misinformation, FOR EXAMPLE ONLY: http://www.chrispeden.org/compare.html This is a congressional race, anyone who remotely knows either politicians positions knows that the page misrepresents Pauls politics completely. This is coming directly from a politicians website, showing just how ingrown the industry of disinformation is. (Yes I'm a large RP supporter, however I'm impartial here, to anyone this is a prime example of your questions point)

The US does not have a monopoly on disinformation in politics or foreign/domestic policy. It takes discernment to wade through the layers of obscurity.

Yes!! I don't think I can remember any 'to the point' info. that has came from any official. It is truly about speaking out of both sides of their mouths as the old saying goes.
