  • Kindof! There are two major meteor shower times, when the earth is on its track going through an area with comet debris. The Leonids are in November, and the perseids are in august. The comet debris becomes meteors, so it makes sense that they'll be seasonal- you'll go through the same patch of debris the same time next year.
  • There are certain times of the year when shooting stars are more common. Meteor showers are created when Earth passes through debris left behind by an orbiting comet. The most visible and generally most active shower is the Perseid meteor shower which occurs during August.
  • Not seasonal but there are some regular occurring meteor showers and most of them happen in the summer time for the Northern Hemisphere. August is a great month for them
