I found out at work yesterday I might be able to get a patent on something I came up with. (Woo Hoo!!) Does anybody here have a patent on anything? If so, what is it?

If someone has told you, that you can patent something then sorry you aint worth the patent if your older then say 16 and don't know what a patent is then you dropped out of school way too early! your not woth the cash or time you cant sit ther and say woohoo to something you know nothing about!
to alot of ppl that is called posing yay i can patent something yet hay woohoo what is one! Dun make sense m8 your lost and until you find yourself.Don't start celebrating early on your idea as it probaly wont take off i wont ask what is or anything but m8 to put something out there worthy of a patent you better be willing to back it up patentin aint a small thing in this world now it is the world you have something you don't tell any1 you keep it to urself.
You might read this and think yer im asshole for not giving you a str8 answer, well look up what patenting is as u obviously have the net research it urself if you cant find or understand what is as i sed b4 you aint worth the time or money patenting something in this time is everything!!!
i'll give you a clue Microsoft is a patented brand, why?
so idiots who don't know what there doing can't make a quid of some1 who does!

I am 44 years old, and work for General Motors, maybe you heard of them? I have developed an idea that may make it into production on about 1/2 of all the pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles they sell. I DO know what a patent is, and our little company had been issued one or two. The patent would have both my name and GM on it. I don't have to deal with the actual paperwork, but would get a cash award if it is approved. I don’t think you’re an assh**e for not giving a straight answer, If I was going to think that about you it would more likely because you seem to jump to conclusions a little quickly.

Just an update.. I wnt infront of the Patent review board today and they are going to go forward and patent the idea.
