Why? What's the false correlation you're running towards?

No not really. The religious people usually only believe in one divinity, God (or group of gods). And if their basis of belief is in the Bible, the bible specifically mentions avoiding practicers of divinity, fortune tellers and witchcraft. An easy way of avoiding them is to not lend them any weight or credibility (despite the fact that very few can actually back up their claim to be psychic). Most psychics are involved in spiritism, rather than spirituality. Spiritism is the belief that the dead can communicate with the living and therefore they attribute their ability to these spirits. Spirituality is pertaining to sacred things or matters; religious; devotional; sacred. The two are completely different to the religious community. A Spiritual person (or religious person) would avoid spiritism since it is biblically related to the things that God hates. Many consider these spirits of dead ones to be nothing more than demons impersonating loved ones to seem more acceptable to people. Though some may think that psychics are as fraudulant as the concept of God and thus group them together in the same catagory, it doesn't work in reverse, they do not catagorize together at all.
