Go ahead and do it. Just because its in a different Lanquage the words and its meaning are still the same. Lets let them understand what this country is all about.

I think it's fair. In Canada, we have both english and french national anthems, so being that spanish is the US's second language, I'd say it should be allowed.
-
The answer is obvious here in America. We speak English.
-
Since the US doesn't have an official language...why the hell not? Seems okay to me. It's not like it hurts anything.
-
sure why not? i love the spanish language

"...supporters of the "Nuestra Himna" version of the national anthem point out that, according to the Library of Congress, the United States Bureau of Education commissioned a Spanish-language version of "The Star Spangled Banner" en español way back in 1919. That was before the English version became the official anthem in 1931." source: http://abcnews.go.com I have not heard anything about this in the news lately, so I am unsure if what you are referring to is the time when senators introduced legislation to Congress in 2006 to prevent the Natl. Anthem from being sung in a language other than English. I have not heard of the "Hispanic Community" (what group or organization are you talking about?) demanding anything of the sort. There is nothing wrong with having the Natl. Anthem recited in other languages for those who prefer it. The National Anthem will always be sung in English at social events first and foremost. Why should anyone who is not a racist care?
-
It is the American nation Anthem and should it only be spoken in ENGLISH. Americans don't go to Mexico and have there Natioanl Anthem changed into English. We should NOT have to change our National Anthem into Spanish just cause they don't want to learn English.
-
I think, if you are living in America learn the language. If we went to a forgien country they would not cater to us because we did not know their langauage, no we would have to learn it.
-
well, freedom of speach means that you can say whatever you want in whatever language you want. Just say it from Mexico. Kinda kidding there, that was mean. People make fun of and riddicule Americans who go to other countries and don't know the native language of that country. So why is it that those same people come here and then complain that it's prejudiced that we don't cater to them and only accommodate English-speaking people? I don't understand why someone would be here (in this country) other than for vacation purposes when they knew BEFORE THEY GOT HERE that it's an ENGLISH speaking country? I mean our tv shows are world-wide most of them. I don't think it's a global secret that Americans in the USA speak English. It's not like they get here and "Hey! no one told me it was Engligh here. I didn't know." I mean when you go to a Chinese restaurant, the sign outside said it was a Chinese restaurant. The menu had all the dishes they served right there taped to the window, the guy that answered the phone's name was Chang, but hey! why don't they serve hot dogs? Well buddy, you should have went to a hot dog stand if ya wanted someone to serve you hot dogs.

Pissing me the hell off. You don't see me moving to France and then trying to convince them how unfair it is that they speak French? Either learn the language or learn to struggle your whole life cuz no one understands you. Or hey, I know this may be a revolutionary thought (logic usually is) but why not relocate to someplace where EVERYONE speaks that language ALREADY?? Rosetta Stone anyone? They sell it at Best Buy if you don't want to order it online.
-
Well, I think it needs to be sung, first, in every native american dialect, and then in every single language that is spoken in america (all dialects, too). Of course, I am not american, and I have never sat through even one verse of it in any language.
-
requestion? sure you can get one of your kids to translate it for you. Demanding? suck my salty chocolate balls, wet back! "Remember the Alamo!"
-
it is all part of the Liberal insanity going on in this country. Stop the Bolsheviks now before it is too late!
