The shot on the box is done in a studio with special dynamic highlights and shadows using a telephoto lens from a low angle which makes it appear chunky and bulky. on the other hand, you look at your model from an overhead point of view and under lame light and see it smaller, thinner and less interesting. If you have a friend who's an amateur photographer or a pro, try taking a few snaps of it with good technique and you might get a better shot than the one on the box. Voila`!

Only once, I made Elvira's Macabre Mobile. But I think all the black paint is why it looked like the picture. I was never very good at models. I was always to impatient to let the glue dry before I moved on.

yes sometimes I do make them exactly the same as the box photo's suggest and I can get them almost the same, but that depends on the model its self and whether it looks better as they suggest or it looks better with a little(or a lot) of customising..cars are the best example of this

It took me a few years to finally assemble a model that looked like the photo on the box. I think I still have it in my basement.

Many of them and then even better with special paint and add-ons. I love kit bashing:-)

I've gotten two to look really close to the box, but I haven't been able to try for a while now.
