  • If it has credit cards in it then there is at least a name. That point aside, I would turn it over to the local police. It is what I would want somebody to do if they found my purse/billfold.
  • I don't think I have ever seen a credit card without a name on it. If for some reason you don't trust the local law to trackdown and return the wallet to the owner, you can call the 800 # on the card. The company will not tell you the address of the owner, ( or the name if it happens to be the No Name Needed Credit Co. " Bad name score? No name history? Name foreclosure? Nameruptcy? Infamous name? NO PROBLEM with 3-N!! Even if you cannot read or write or sign your own name, just put your X on the inclosed application.) 'Sanyway the credit company can contact the owner with your address or phone number. Let this be a warning if you have a 3-N card and refuse to have ID in your wallet, you should record the serial numbers of all currency bills. That way if you lose your wallet the cops will search the city seeking anyone who may have spent them.
  • If you find a wallet with credit cards, then you have a name. Turn it into police who will call the credit bureaus and track down the owners.
  • You could contact one of the credit card companies.
