Who decides what province belongs to what province? What was the magic year in which the world's borders were solidified for ever? Should Serbia belong to Austria, for example?
I take the people's voice as the final decider. Whatever country a piece of territory may have belonged to in the past, it is what the people who live there now want that rules. Most Kosovars do not wish to be in Serbia: I respect that. There are a few border areas which do wish to be Serbian; if it can be arranged, that should be respected.

"Most Kosovars do not wish to be in Serbia" let them go back to Albania-most of Kosovars dont belong where they are or they took that land over the years now they claim that belongs to them.Just because you burn someones house,church and make them leave doesnt mean that the land is yours.
