You couldn't conventionally block yourself from a website completely, because if you used a program or script you could just turn the program or script off. Especially if you have admin privileges on your computer. I suggest, if there's a site that you're voluntarily visiting but would like to stop (sounds like porn, to be honest), then if you really want to stop, you need to be vigilant. If you truly *want* to stop visiting it, you'll stop. If you mean anything at all to yourself, then you'll stop because you want to.

For IE: tools > internet options > security > restricted sites. Thats easy to undo but you could also try: START > run > type "notepad c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts" > Find the line that says "127.0.0.1 localhost" Under that line type "127.0.0.1 www.sitename.com" For each site you must put 127.0.0.1 at the start of the line then a space and the site name. > File > Save > Exit > Restart browser. This will take more time and thought to undo than most methods, and maybe you'll forget how to undo it. Good luck to you.

Go to My Computer, and dig down to C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc. There should be a file there called hosts. Open it in Notepad (right click, open, then choose Notepad and OK. You'll see a line near the bottom that says: 127.0.0.1 localhost Right below that add: 127.0.0.1 siteyouwannablock.com Just for kicks, reboot your computer.

I hear ya on this one. This isn't an absolute solution for this but it helps: there's an application that you can add on to FireFox called WOT (Web of Trust) that you can use to block a page with a black screen telling you the site is considered dangerous or some such thing. Though there's a link to go to the site anyway, you can at least catch yourself in the process with that black screen coming up, maybe that'll make you think twice about actually going to the site. Good luck.
