The last time I had any coffee was at a Denny's so that I could complete a 340 mile drive on 3 hours of sleep. That was 9 years ago so I think I can wait out the 3 hours. ;)

I only went to a starbucks once..in Shanghai to get warm...I can't stand the smell of their coffee.

I think I'll live without overpriced, overrated coffee for a few hours or so. I can't be sure though. I'll make sure I have friends or loved ones monitor me just in case I go into cardiac arrest. Yes, it was all facetious, and I liked it. Except the overpriced and overrated part. ;-)

The only reason I care is that Starbucks is based here in Seattle and it's been on the local news A LOT. The way the local news makes it out to be, it's as if Seattle was going to shutdown. I drink coffee once a month or so. Usually the only time I go into a Starbucks is when i am travelling and need a wireless access point.

lol it upset me when it happened but just because when i heard about it on the radio i didn't hear the 3 hours part.... radio guy - starbucks will be closing... me - oh my god, nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Starbucks could close their doors permanently and I would not notice other than the news reports. I have never been in a Starbucks and have never purchased a cup of their coffee. I have drank some Starbucks when others chose to buy me a cup and I was not impressed with it. The coffee didn't taste any better than what I make at home. Most people with drip type coffee makers will only put 2-3 scoops of coffee in the basket. This is only enough to make bad tasting brown water. Learning how to make coffee properly will produce a pot of the 'Elixer of the Gods' for a fraction of the cost of a small cup of Starbucks.
