  • oh that's a very good point i think alot of people don't want to face problems and they think if they ignore it it'll go away
  • Cos people are stupid and self serving.
  • I agree, the prison system is not doing its work and rehabilitating the prisoners. They just sit in their cells and are abused by the guards. How can there be any change and the tax dollars used to rehabilitate is thrown out the door.If a corporation did not live up to it's obligations they would be out of business quickly, but the prison system uselessly goes on.
  • Because we live in a society that punishes the innocent unborn for the actions of the parents and demand mercy for those that refuse or cannot conform to the rules of society.
  • Excellent question. Our country has the largest percentage of population in prison of any of hte western nations. We have crimes and punish people for things other countries freely accept. We are the only "civilized" nation that still has the death penalty. We keep building prisons and spend no money on rehabilitation. We ignore our schools and wonder why teen agers and young adults feel their lives have no direction and they have no opportunities. The system, the way it now stands, really sucks. Perhasp our new president will do something about it. He/she will have the opportunity.
  • because it seems the U.S. just has to lock somebody up ...always .... why else would you have 10 degrees of manslaughter for example ...why would you lock someone up for a joint ...the people of the U.S are under the impression they live in a greatest democracy on earth but its the furthest thing from the truth and thats what scares them the most ....the truth and the truth is they don't give a shit about anything but the almighty dollar and reform is something that doesn't cross there little minds
