  • your body and organs are weakening like skin wrinkles and eyes go bad etc..
  • Ohhhh Psycho you are soooooooooo old... LOL You just can't hang like you used to. Boo hoo!
  • Cause if i have to get older and put up with worsening hang overs then so does every body else!!
  • The answer is in your question! It's BECAUSE you're getting old. Your body just can't cope with the excessive alcohol as well as it used to when you were younger.
  • Tell me about it !! I am 32 years old now and can not drink much at all now without being very sick the next day. When i was younger could drink so much and go to bed at 4 in the morning and still be up for work work at 9. Now one night out kills me for the week. So cheap nights out for me now when i go out as wont go over board as cant cope with being ill all day the next day.
  • The answer that you're just getting older is pretty much the reason. But here's a little breakdown: Your liver breaks down ethanol (alcohol) into acetic acid. This is why you might get the beer shits afterwards because it's quite acidic, like spicy foods. Moving on... There is a part of the conversion to acetic acid that gets harder as you age, which is acetaldehyde. This is poisonous and what really causes a hangover.
  • I feel the same way, when i was say early to mid 20s i could knock them back for fun and just have a mild hangover which i could shake off in a few hours, now im 32 and thinking about giving up the beer all together. It takes me 2 or 3 days for it to clear up depending on how heavy the weekend was.
